it has been rough to say the least but things have finally taken a turn. I am up and moving and although still very painfull, I am able to function somewhat normal but at slow pace. Yard work and driving are now part of routine. Last week I managed to work on a strip down of a Dixie I am going to turn and got my wife’s bike in running order. I am going to attempt to get on bike this week for some paved trail rides and see how it goes. Grace and roads are still out of the question because I can’t turn sideways withou major pain yet to look behind me. Doctor said I am looking at close to a year befor pain is completely gone at least. I also gave my bike a good cleaning.

Some good healing karma your way. Welcome to my world. And I always seem to get injured in spring or early summer so I'm sidelined during all the perfect riding conditions.

Currently treating tendonitis in my shoulder due to complications from a past clavicle break ( bike related 5 or 6 years ago) and titanium bar installation.

I got injuries more times than I can even remember, I'd have to sit down and draw up a list unfortunately. But in the dozens is a fair estimate.

My worst to date was a neck fracture (also bike related). It kept me off of bikes for a few years. In contrast this is relatively easy. Staying off two wheels. Not so much.

I've never competed in races, but once during a solo ride, to be honest, my knee was hurting before. However, in that race, trying to push my limits, I ended up spraining my knee. Since then, I haven't ventured into races or pushed my knee too hard

Have you ever fractured your neck? I've had both injuries. Ribs are a walk in the park in comparison IMHO. Clavicle breaks vary somewhat depending where and how they break and so on. I also liked that less than my rib injury. My broken clavicle effected (still does some 5 years later) a bunch of nerves and tendons and, yea it sucks. I have titanium in mine to patch it up and it still gets bad after some days of riding and jumping too long and hard. Some nights there is no way to lay in bed that doesn't ache a bunch through my neck chest and bicep and shoulder, all stemming from the immediate area. I have to disagree ribs also heal and are done with. At least the two I broke healed and never bothered me again since.
