When I was in Nippon a couple of years ago there seemed to be cafes for just about any critter or activity you could think of. Cat cafes, fine - My nephews tried to drag me into a maid cafe, I declined.

for those with ferals, have you found a breakaway collar that lasts longer than 12 hours? I put two on Buttons recently and he returns in the morning without it. I'm wanting to make sure the neighbors know he's cared for and not have him trapped and put in a rescue place. The collars I ordered had his name and my phone number. Apparently, they breakaway too easy (maybe he's just not meant to have a collar).
Also, we are going away for a week in June. Any suggestions for a reliable automatic feeder? It breaks my heart to leave him for a week, and hopefully I'll get the neighbors to feed him wet food twice a day, but I'd also like a dry food dispenser.

I have the PetSafe Simply Feed, very reliable with both battery and AC adapter. I think they make a couple of different models. Not the cheapest option but worth it IMO.

Pumpkin is getting older (now 12) and likes to nap on the back of the couch. Then I woke him up.
Nice knowing y’all.

Buttons has a spot he naps on against the house amongst the plantings. My 8-year-old daughter made a sign:

Thanks for the heads up. I can't take those endings either. I've sensed this is the type of ending coming. But this past summer we lost our cat of 19 years. And recently got a new kitten.

It is painful when they go. I swore I'd never get another cat after my Fifi died in 2010, but then this darn feral had to come along. ugh.
