2006 Felt F80 - good bike?
hey guys - i hurt myself running the nyc marathon and i cant run for a while so i'm looking for a bike but i don't know much of anything about them.. there is a guy in my town selling a felt F80 - it's 56 cm which is the size i'm told i need... i'm going to test ride it tomorrow... i guess i have 2 questions:
1. is this a good bike?
2. how much should i pay for it?
he's asking $400.

There are many threads on here about Felt bikes. They usually get a good review.
I had one and absolutly loved it.
(I was trying to copie and paste many threads I found on the F 80 but the search just broke on me.)
anyways, there are tons of infos on here about them.

I have an 06 f80 and it is a good solid bike.
the 06 is yellow, if the bike is black it is an 05 I believe... I may be wrong.
I paid 1k in 06 for my f 80 and I think it was a good deal. I would say that 400 is a good price, if it fits you well and in good shape.
There is nothing amazing about the F80 but it is a good solid entry level bike with a little more than entry level components.

i looked at it today and it's nice... very light, has the 105 set up and carbon forks - looks good.. i didn't get to ride it because he didn't have a valve attachment for his pump.... i'm going to give it a test ride tomorrow.
someone is also selling a 20009 motobecane for the same price ($400)... The Felt is better, right?

Paid $800 for mine last March 20.
Now have 9,000 miles on it.
Go get it, Bargin Price. at $400.
Offer the guy $350, then take it to a bike shop for a tune up.

i'm going to test ride the bike (which now has air in tires) tomorrow at noon. the guy wont drop below $400. i offered $360 with no air in tires and he said no... i will have to ride it before i spend the extra $40 anything specific i should look for tomorrow while test riding? i will most likely buy this bike as i dont think i will find anything better for $400... unless anyone wants to talk me out of this...?
ps - thanks very much for the help!
