I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We just had 49 inches of snow in December, a new record. I hate winter.

Way Down Yonder
Sarasota Florida is where I call home (for now!) Just about an hour south of Tampa, where the SuperBowl is being held this year. Great weather, beautiful beaches, lots of tourist, year-round riding, lots of heat and humidity, closest mountain biking (trail riding) 2.5 hours away, looking to move to either Boone, NC or Denver, CO.

Uxbridge, Ontario. Thats about 75km (45mi.) northeast of Toronto. The beginning (or the end) of a great network of rail trails in Eastern Ontario.

Home of the Masters golf tournament and James Brown. Great climate, low crime rate, low cost of living... but full of gun toting, tobacco spitting rednecks driving high stepping 4X4 trucks, WWF wrestling star wannabes, and folks from the US Northeast escaping the winter snow.
Don't group me with this bunch, though... I grew up in Paris, XV Arrondissment, Blvd de Grenelle. Living in the American southeast is for me an ongoing cultural anthropology experiment.

I think you're right ... it's one of the oldest threads I've seen. I wonder how many who originally posted on it are still on BF.

Eeek! Bike Forums is positively antediluvian! I started bopping around email lists in '95 when I still lived in San Diego. I've lived in wonderful Vancouver, Washington since then. Born in The Hague, grew up in Southern California, spent a year in Taiwan. No wonder I turned out weird.
