Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Office Space, so good, as is everything else Mike Judge. Has anyone seen Silicon Valley? I had it recommended to me recently.

Didn’t get the 62 miles today. Ran out of time, but I did managed to hold 250 watts for 2 hours. That’s a first. Power wasn’t the goal, was trying to have negative 5 mile splits or 5 mile splits under 15 mins. I was on the check point, 42 mm tires at 40 psi. Took the power to hold the splits. Best I have felt in a long time, and makes me wonder how much faster I would have been on my madone.

In other news, our shelves in our kitchen cabinets all collapsed last night. Scared the crap out of us. Luckily only one plate broke and one coffee mug so didn’t care about. Two trips to Lowe’s as usual to get the shelving pins that I need.

Packing up to go back to Dallas……..

Silicon Valley is so dead on accurate, it's a documentary. A funny documentary.

I did the same thing. We were waiting in line to enter the sanctuary part (don't know the proper term) and my wife says, "You're standing on Darwin."

Incorrect.

But this thread is lacking quality content from all other sources. So here's a song from yesterday's KCB concert.

HBO, originally. Probably available from several streaming services now -- for a fee.

Took a PTO day to feel the wind in my hair out on the road, and get some chores done around the house before I pick up Liz and Lilly at the airport tomorrow. They were gone for two weeks.... too long! I miss Liz a regular amount (she likes to travel), but I miss baby a lot! She recognizes me over facetime, so it has been fun to see her smile and get excited when I talk to her. Also, she grew her first tooth while she was gone.

Also, took the Mini to my mechanic for a damage assessment after a highway debris incident.
