So make the whole bike with 6 mm fasteners rather than whatever size is appropriate for each application? Just carry a multitool which has all the common hex sizes.

The last bike I ordered online, almost every bolt I had to tighten was spec'ed to 5Nm or 6Nm. The shop included one 5.5Nm torque wrench with 3 allen sockets and 2 torx sockets. I got the message.

Looks proprietary. That's a hard 'no' for me.

Again, for anyone who doesn't want to bother with Allen keys, the DT Swiss RWS thru axles are a no-brainer solution.
