12/1: 18.76 miles, kind of slow. It was cold, raining, wet roads, and a bit windy. White chili for dinner warmed me back up.
12/4: 12.02 miles after work. 40 minutes or so rolling time, had to wait for a couple of stop lights, though. 65 degrees. Love Arizona!
12/5: 8.3 miles - canyon climb and descent. Late afternoon (71F), so didn’t have time to do it 2x.
12/7: 2.09 miles commuting
12/8: 12.09
12/9: 14.88 - veteran’s group Saturday ride. Very slow
12/11: 12.12 after work
12/13: 10.9 - commuting and workout after work.
12/15: 12.6 - 2x canyon repeats
12/16: 41.17. Made a 2 week/200km Garmin goal.
12/19: 12.13
12/21: 25 minutes on an indoor cycle at a hotel this morning. Holiday travel, didn’t bring my bike. I have no idea how to count it for “miles” as it didn’t have a display to estimate it. I just watched a cycling video on my iPad while I worked out. Lifted some dumbbells and stretched after.
12/27: ~10 miles on one of my brother’s bikes. I forgot to start the Garmin until we had already ridden a couple of miles, so I don’t know exactly how far it was. Most of the time was climbing a big hill near his house. He is slow. S.L.O.W. And he ran out of gas and waited for me to notice his text that he wasn’t going to keep climbing, so I rode most of it alone. To be fair, this was like the second ride he’s been on since Thanksgiving. It was fun to ride with him, and nice to get out even if it was in the 30s. Layered up and actually got warm enough to drop the heavy gloves and open two layers. Can’t wait to get home to Arizona and some sane riding temperatures. I didn’t ride at *all* while visiting the in-laws - it was so freaking cold there, like 8* F. Not this cowboy!

Sorry I missed the opportunity to wish everyone a "MERRY CHRISTMAS!", but I hope you all had one. I'll wish everyone "HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024!" now.
I didn't participate in the thread this month because I knew my back wasn't going to let me get anywhere close to 100 miles. I was right!
December through today: 3 rides - 24 miles total
Year-to-date 2023 total: 1757 miles
I hope all of you are happy, safe and well. I've missed keeping track with you of our miles - or in my case, lack thereof - but hopefully I'll be back in January to shoot for 100+ miles.
All the best!

Met my goal. Just over 6,500 miles for the year. Second lowest yearly mileage since starting riding half way through 2018. I guess being off the bike for recovery after 5 eye surgeries will do that. Hoping next year will be more normal, but will likely miss at least 8 weeks riding recovering from some other surgery that’s needed. We’ll see.

Got out on the new Conti's today, and I also finally installed the winter fenders. Good thing too, another wet ride. It's been nothing but wet and no sunshine since Christmas, but at least it has been warm (40's) so no ice.
Hoping to get out on New Year's Eve for one last ride this year, and at least get over 200 miles for the month.

Been under the weather for the last 4 days so my monthly total will stay at 410.9 miles
My total for the year is 787.2 miles with 476.3 of those in the last 6 weeks so I am thrilled with the trend!

12/30: Last ride of the year: 17.2 miles, veterans’ group New Years ride. Lots of hills to a picnic area where we all ate lunch, and a zoomie fast downhill ride back to the start point.
MTD: 184.43
YTD: 1404.2 - biggest mileage year I’ve tracked.
