Dusted
I was out on my usual one hour gravel ride and snapped a couple pics of a crop duster. Soon, after I took the pictures a man in a pickup stopped me on the road and asked if I'd seen the crop duster. I told him I had. He told me that airplane "dive-bombed" toward his home multiple times and he tried to complain to the FAA, but was put on hold. I just saw the airplane maneuvering over a field.

Beautiful, thank you! Are those ponderosa pines? We have them up here, but only east of the Cascade Crest, which is another way of saying "once you get out of the rain forest."

Last weeks ride. 49 miles and 3998 feet elevation. Started out heading south into a SE wind and took a break at my furthest south point for re fueling and the wind switched to the NW all the way home.
I love all the signs all over Iowa stating the names and dates of old schools that are long gone.

Did seven miles of whatever the heck this is. The gravel was deep and loose to where I was often dragging these tires.

The brilliance of this surface is that it gets easier to ride on as it gets overgrown...

...or covered in wet dirt.

Pleasant little stretch of trail, though.

It's railroad ballast with the ties removed. That would be difficult to ride. Very scenic!

I always look out for your posts and stop and take the time to enjoy them when I see one. Especially with ride pictures involved. As always, these are lovely and look like a great day. Hope to see many more.

Douglas State Forest, Douglas, Mass. Awesome morning. Got a great tip on a cool trail from a woman on horseback, and got good directions from a woman walking her dog on the Southern New England Trunkline Trail. The Miyata Alumicross I built up over the winter is pretty amazing; some of the trails I used were clearly more geared toward mountain bikes.
