Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

As much as I'd love to drive up to the mountains this weekend, nope, not gonna do it, wouldn't be prudent.

So just gonna sit here and stay indoors...

Maybe. What are you buying?

I have ceased bike handwringing and believe my quiver to be full and sufficient. I will not be buying an ebike.

Guilty as charged. I thought hand-wringing meant fretting. I am not fretting however I did do analysis of options. All that is left is to size up a 54 frame to see if fits. After that, I'll order (the super 6 evo).
That's a weird name for a bike by the way.

A Cannondale super six Evo 105 equipped with Rim brakes.
As posted earlier this all depends on getting the right fit Etc.

I started riding in 1989 with a garage sale bike. Then a cheap nashbar bike. in 1991 I bought my first decent road bike. in 2004 I bought my current bike. it's a rare day when I buy a new bike.

I'm a little different than most.

Especially odd that Specialized has EVO bikes too.

Must be Mitsubishi fans.

When someone makes a burger that tastes like a salad, that will be a scientific breakthrough.

Tennessee lost to powerhouse Georgia State.

Guess I jinked the ducks. Dropped ball on TD pass, missed FG from extra point range, and Auburn is flying down the field...

So I placed a Rapha order last night. Two items (winter jacket and an on/off the bike sweater), both of them different shades of pink. So I got that going fer me, which is nice.

Of course, it's possible that neither fits, but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Reviews from last night’s date:

Blinded by the Light: Very good. My bias as a Jersey native and Springsteen fan may be showing, but even if you are neither I do recommend it.

Impossible Whopper: Was just ok. Having been veg for over 30 years, I don’t even miss meat anymore. The taste and texture seem quite close to a real beef burger. This is probably a good choice for the veg-curious and newly veg who misses a meaty fast food burger. I am glad I tried it but unlikely to go for another (unless I am stuck in the middle of nowhere, hungry, and BK is the only option).
