1975 Masi Gran Criterium Carlsbad Made
What would be a reasonable value for a Carlsbad made 1975 Masi Gran Criterium, 58cm center-to-top, excellent condition, original light blue metallic finish. Most likely built or supervised by Mario Confente.

Condition is everything, so is originality.
‘Mario was supervising in 1975 unless for a special few. Some high risk connections received his torch work, seat stays to the seat lug. The twin plate fork crown, but by 1975 that was gone, too much work.
to some, if the bike was made with investment cast vs the earlier stamped or “pressed” lugs will make a difference. 1975 was the transition year.
images of the front underside and back of the seat lug will tell the tale.
condition of the fork crown chrome matters. I do not know if they changed vendors, but the earlier bikes had better chrome.

frame set appears in nice shape, I think stamped lugs, catching a hint of the seat tube tang holes. Quite a number of parts exchanges, they will knock the value to an enthusiast. Later front mech, Japanese rear mech, wrong stem, later rims and tires.
