I'm officially no longer a Clydesdale

Over the last 75 days I have lost 49 pounds am now weigh 197. I have had a total lifestyle change with clean eating and excercise everyday. I still have about 40 more pounds to go but feel so much better. I typically choose one of the following depending on time; 40-50 mile bike rides, 4 mile runs or 1 hour on the elliptical for recovery days. Myfitnesspal has been a great app for my girlfriend and I to encourage each other and stay on plan. This groups stories have been so encouraging. Thank you all so much.

I can't believe it but that's the way the numbers broke down. My girlfriend did not work out as aggressively and she lost 20. I ate no more 1500 calories per day with no processed food. I can't tell you how much I know enjoy vegatables and fish. Food tastes better now. We really don't feel like we are on a diet but more of a realignment of what kinds of food we drink.

Wow, what a success story! I hope that you realize your goals soon and maybe even post a detailed list of the things that made you lose the weight.

The Athena level isn't as forgiving. The only time I was ever below the weight "limit" was when I was on chemo. At good muscle tone and body weight, I'm at about 145. I'm currently trying to get back down to that after some gain and have 13lbs to go.

Congratulations!

You'll probably find that the rate of weight loss slows down as you get closer to your goal, but you can do this! I'm about the same height as you, and was your weight two years ago. It took some time, but by this time last year I got down to 160 and I've successfully maintained that for a year, only temporarily creeping up a few pounds just after Christmas (no great surprise there).

I also found Myfitnesspal worked amazingly for me - I simply couldn't have done it without the tracking and recording that it provides.

This! I lost 165 lbs and have maintained goal weight for 3+ years using MFP. Great app.

Awesome!

Yeah, a tool like MFP really makes all the difference in the world for me.

And congratulations! It's one thing to lose the weight, but keeping it off is a great victory!

Congrats! It's inspiring for many of us that are trying, have been trying, and have tried time and time again.

243 lbs here. I thought I was going to make it a few years ago. I got to 206 and slowly started the creep back to where I started... and beyond. It's time for me to get on it again.

Nice Job! I was wondering how tall you are because when I hit 220, I am in excellent shape. I could not get down to 200 if someone were holding a gun to my head.

Diet is a big key. I'm big enough to eat 2000 calories and more and lose weight and it's still a struggle

this is an incredible feat. At 52 it gets much much harder, especially if you take your eye off it and cheat for a while... which becomes a few months... which becomes a season...
