How much post do you need? You can have the one in this thread for the cost of shipping, if a stubby would work.

What tubing requires a 27.4? Just curious.

I have a "A" prefix S/N, 1974 Raleigh Professional (531) that takes a 27.4 seatpost. That frame is a freak of nature though.

27.4mm Seatposts

For starters, Imperial (inch) diameter Reynolds 753T (Track) seat tubes have .7mm x .3mm wall thickness which takes a 27.4mm seatpost.

I have 4 bikes made of 753R (Road) that are supposed to have .7mm x .5mm seat tubes but they take 27.4mm seat posts rather than a 27.2mm standard: a 1984 Holdsworth 753, a 1985 SBDU built Raleigh USA Team bike and 2 1985-86 French made Bernard Hinault LOOK EQUIPE bikes with inch size tubes plus I have a 1991 Paramount OS made of oversize True Temper tubing.

I think that I can use that on the 57cm LOOK bike that I just got. I usually ride 55 or 56cm frames. I'll PM you my info...

Thanks,

verktyg

All the Reynolds 753 frames we built at Trek used 27.4mm posts.

My mid-80s Klein also takes a 27.4.
