Replacement Battery for discontinued Sanyo Eneloop e-bike
Hello: I'm trying to find a replacement battery for my Sanyo Eneloop Bike purchased around 2009. The model is CY-SPA600NA and the battery is the Sanyo Eneloop Li-ion 6 CY-EB600 25.2V 5.7Ah. I realize that they discontinued the model but perhaps there is a replacement type battery that I could get? Or retrofit a new battery model to the e-bike? Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Eneloops made a good NiMh AA cell that I would use in my digital cameras about 15 years ago. I had expected your bike to use niMh. but aha, it is lithium.
I cannot read Japanese, but it looks like you could get one in Japan, If not, most batteries have only a postive and a negative connection, and someone with electric skills could install a wire to the controller on your bike and you could use a 24V lithium pack mounted elsewhere on the bike's frame.
I would buy something that comes in a case, and with the mounting cradle. You live too dangerously with those batteries wrapped in blue PVC.

I had a similar system and removed the "battery plug" on the controller which exposed the red and black wires. Then, select a battery with the same voltage and install the appropriate connectors on the control wires.

Maybe you can find a battery rebuilder. They can probably update the capacity which will give your more range.

Unless I'm mistaken, the typical consumer cannot ship lithium batteries legally to these rebuilders.

You can usually ship lithium ion batteries easily by ground with less regulations than by air. For example see page 9 of this https://www.ups.com/assets/resources..._batteries.pdf . For the OPs battery they just need to package properly and label with warning markings stating “Lithium Batteries – Forbidden for Transport Aboard Aircraft and Vessel,” and the lithium ion battery mark

Maybe you can ship "easily" down under, but if > 300wh not in the US. You need to locate a HAZMAT shipper here (the closest one to me is 100 miles away from socal), or be subjected to a $50,000 fine.

Replace battery
I’m in the same situation. Need to replace or rebuild my battery. Unfortunately, I am in Hawaii and getting lithium batteries here is near to impossible.
just wondering if you came up with a solution for your eneloop ebike?

There's a rebuilder in Las Vegas (can't remember the name; you need to look it up). probably you can mail the case and have them add a cell pack. Other option is Leeds which has various 24V battery systems. Perhaps one could be incorporated into your case.
