Rear hub torque sensor mod

Has anyone considered changing a hub motor cadence PAS to a torque PAS similar to what Juiced Bikes does ?

Haven't considered since I'm very happy with my RPM-sensor. However, ebikesca (Grin) has torque sensors that you might be able to use and excellent CS.

Not a trivial project. You would need the same controller that Juiced uses, and also have to machine the rear frame to fit their sensors they use.

Or you could buy a BB sensor, and the Cyclle analyst display from Grin. That's a couple of hundred bucks.

Like others, I'm quite happy with my cadence sensor ebikes, and I have test ridden T/S bikes in the past.

I agree with DW, and have ridden scores of bikes with torque sensors, even own a Haibike-Yamaha. But Grin is the place if you're intent on the modification.
