Let's see your LeMond!

Old or new, doesn't matter!

Here's an 04 Nevada City I'm picking up Saturday. I'll be making a lot of upgrades to it....

Give me a couple days, I'll get a pic up of my '97 Tourmalet. For an "entry level" road racer, it really really rides nice. Double butted True Temper, really stiff and light, and comfy despite the fact that I'm a little stretched out on it. Nothing really sexy about it (especially since I swapped out the stem for an adjustable riser stem) but it just goes! And the 7 speed RSX really isn't too bad.

Recently saw an '01 or '02 Tete de Course go for $900 on CL. My size too. Too bad it was about 300 miles away, I would have been tripping over myself trying to race to snag that one.

I'd love to find an affordable 60-62cm Calfee "Carbon Frames" Lemond in Team Z livery.

These Lemonds are looking good. I am on the hunt for a Reynolds 853-tubed Lemond, so hopefully will have something to post in the near future!

2001 LeMond Alpe d'Huez. Reynolds 853 and Campy Daytona. The ride is great.

That is a teaser. The photo gallery is here. I'm working on a set of tubular wheels for this bike, using Campy Chorus hubs, DT Swiss db spokes, and Mavic GP4 tubular rims. I finished the front wheel yesterday and glued my first tubular a few minutes later. I'm going to finish the rear wheel and glue the tubular on it over the weekend. I was hoping to get the cassette today, but now it won't be here until Tuesday. Oh, well. Can't wait to try the tubs.

The SL and TSX frames are great "modern" vintage frames. I'd love to have one built with modern Campy.

Please don't look too closely at the wrap job. Or the stem. Or the cable length. These are all issues I fully intend to address...eventually.

Wow... Just noticed this thread; must have overlooked it during summer.

My 2002 Buenos Aires:

Under restoration:

This is how it acquired the nickname 'Snowflake.' The whole frame looked like this; just spotted with rust all over: I was stunned- a lovely 853 frame & the PO used it as a wintertime beater-bike. (Cretin!)

After fully restoring the paint, a six-week labor of love:

Then, 105/ Ultegra mix; currently, full DA 7700. It's like riding a lightning bolt.

2001 Nevada City. Given to me by my Uncle who had the wheels changed. I then Changed handlebars to my favorite (On One Midge dirt drops). Changed saddle to a Koobi Alpha PRS. And ride it every chance I get.

Here in Australia, this paint scheme was copied by a number of local builders - I even had one at one stage. I really wanted a Lemond as I admired Greg.

The humble Tourmalet is as fine a ride as anything I've ever owned. I ditched the RSX in a fit of retro grouchiness.

I picked up this early 90s TSX Lemond from my friend who rescued it from going into the local landfill. The original owner was seconds away from tossing it and a nice Eddie Merrik (spelling?) TT bike into the landfill when he stepped in and saved them.

Bike has a Dura Ace group and was converted to 9 speed at some point in the past. Almost finished with it other then needing a better wheel set. I am in love with the bike and really can't say enough about how great this old TSX frame rides.

Lucky find, that is a beauty but I have to ask where in the world are you that a Lemond and a Merckx are seen as garbage?

Here is my Poprad, not C&V but a pretty great and unique bike that was ahead of it's time.
