Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Are the MKS GR-9 pedals considered road pedals?? And can they be paired up with holdfast straps?

Bikeage. Used to be made by elves working at the Retrogression factory, but unfortunately they no longer make them.

Do you think that Santa has a few pairs left in his warehouse?

If it does happen, it won't be until after the shop moves in November.

I'm currently very happy with this pedal setup from our grumpy forum mate, Scrod.

For tyres, I use Maxxis ReFuse. They are a training tyre and I've had not problems with them at speeds of 70km/hr+. Best parts though are the price, if I wait for the (frequent) specials, I buy them online for $15 a tyre and, haven't had a puncture in two and a half years despite regularly digging glass from them. Sometimes, cheap is good and this is one of them. Incidentally, you need the ReFuse, I've used other Maxxis tyres and while I liked them, had nothing like this puncture resistance.
