bike in a qualified shop
well I broke down to great advice.. a friend gave me his genesis v2100 and the tire was out of shape. since I am a great mechanic {joking** I took it to Mr.Harry at Keatons here in lake city. He looked at it and said that was a fine bike and he was excited to fix the wheel ,something with adjust the spokes.. he went over it a said the one thing he like is the front disk brakes. I asked about being my road bike, he said it would give me a fine ride. he said good road bike for me should be around 500- 700 as much as I am doing well I will be on the look out eventually. I am next week taking my admiral schwinn , he said for the money, they are good.

Great post, it always nice to read about someone finding a good shop, and a great person working there. It will be worth it to cultivate the relationship.

I guess you decided against Gainesville without giving the local shop a try first. Glad you went to a local shop.

It's a pleasant thing when the bike shop employee is encouraging. I hope that you return to that shop when the need arises. Sounds like a nice guy...
