Team TOMS Shoes, wants you!
Hi Y'all,
If you don't know me by now, my name is Adam. I am currently living in North Carolina, formerly of Morgan Hill, California. Before I lost my job, I had started the initial phases of building a grassroots team with my former employer and some other great companies within and outside of the industry. So I guess you could say I'm the Team Manager of Team TOMS Shoes/SpecializedRiders.com. After being involved with BF for a few months, I've learned that there are some good guys, and girls, here that would make perfect teammates and I would like to tell you a little more about my team.
Team TOMS is a grassroots cycling team in the US, and our goal is to spread the TOMS Shoes message: to provide shoes for people going barefoot around the world! One for One. For every pair you purchase, a pair is donated on your behalf. TOMS Shoes has donated thousands of shoes across the globe since their inception only a couple years ago. We've partnered with the Specialized Riders club at SpecializedRiders.com, a unique cycling based social networking community that connects riders in order to help spread the word. Specialized bikes, helmets, optics and cycling shoes will help us on our way to topping podiums around the country. NuuN Active Hydration and their calorie and carb free electrolyte tablets help keep us hydrated on training rides and races year round! While TOMS has our feet covered, Champion Systems Custom Cycling Wear is our jersey provider. With their talented design team and their wide range of cycling apparel, low minimums and costs will keep Team TOMS riders comfortable all season long no matter the time of year or temperature!
Presently, we have regional managers in Northern California, Texas, North Carolina and Western New York. We are a diverse group of Cat1s-Cat5s. Single Speed cross racers to mass start trackies-and everything in beween. We are looking for all kinds of riders, serious racers to fledgling newbies. Mainly, we are looking for people that want to do a little bit more while riding their bike, spreading the TOMS Shoes message, with the hopes to make the world just a little bit better for people less fortunate than we are.
So if you are team-less or looking to do something new, check out our blog (newly started): https://teamtomsshoes.blogspot.com/ go ahead and check out https://tomsshoes.com/ while you're at it. If you have any questions or you would just like to learn more, please don't hesitate to drop me a line at: TeamTOMS@ymail.com
If you'd like to be considerred as a member of the team please answer some of the questions below, and send a picture along as well so we can get to know you a bit more.
Thanks for reading!

The most important question of all:
what does your kit look like?
what does your kit look like?

We are working on that, I've been a bit bogged down with trying to find a REAL job and the holidays, but if you take a look at the website, the TOMS Shoes logo is reminiscent of the Flag of Argentina. Mainly because that is the inspiration for the design of the shoes and also where their first shoe drop took place.
The jersey is mainly all white, with the light blue stripes up top, and light blue side panels on the thighs. there will also be some black that wraps under the flag and around the back of the jesey and continues to the back panel of the bibs.
If you could imagine the Garmin-Chipotle jerseys, sans the argyle, mixed with the Argentinian National Champions jersey...that is it.
I will post some sketches I've drawn and eventually the final comps when they are finished.

Well, most national championship jerseys resemble the *** of that nation, more often than not. I guess Valverde is a fairly extreme opposite of that statement, but, like I said, I will post pics soon.

I'll be sending you my info shortly... I own a couple pairs of toms and bought some for my mom last year. Love the purpose of helping people have a pair of shoes. Once you get my info, let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

We are going to be bringing the heat, and the message, to races all over the United States.
I have my dudes doing work on the graphics and clothing designs. As Adam mentioned, once we have a template complete, we'll post it here for you guys to have a look at.

I did mean FLAG, thanks. haha The laptop I've been using has sticky keys. I'm always editing and re-editing posts on the forum.
Many thanks do go out to BananaTugger. He's the man! I'm actually in the process of scanning these preliminary designs as we speak.
SEANMDO, I'm liking you more and more. the shoes are different, but fun, i'm glad you like them. they are stocking stuffers for my whole family this year.

And where's the people yelling "shill" now?
Sounds like a cool company though.

The shoes themselves are very hipster friendly. Especially for the ones that don't ride their bikes.
