Thinking ahead, needing a new frame set.
In a weird Murphys Law style of wreck on a fire road, I dented the top tube of my beloved Topstone. Its a small dent and I'm not qualified to say for certain whether or not it will fail. So, I intend to ride it until it either fails, or it gets in my head too much. I'd like to buy just a frame and fork then move my group and wheels over. Any companies to look at?

I dunno about Cannondale's warranty policy but it might be worth investigating whether they offer a partial discount to replace a crash damaged frame...

You'd think a frame wouldn't be too bad considering the whole Sora equipped bike is like $1200.

I agree, hell mine was only 1000 and before they increased prices after demand went up. I doubt they have any frames exactly like mine left, and the new ones aren't quite the same color (silly, I know). I'm absolutely open to other framesets though.

I have zero experience in dented aluminum. The internet can be an exh chamber at times, so i plan on riding it as is. Eventually I'll get tired of seeing it and want to replace it. I really like buying bikes, the GF not so much. I kinda forgot to mention that I bought a new hardtail, and she sent me a picture of a bike box with COMMENCAL on the side, asking wtf I bough now haha.

Oh I'm with ya on the color thing. This gives me nightmares because I ended up with the Topstone Carbon over the aluminum. I'll be very curious to hear how it goes with Cannondale. I've heard amazing things about how Trek would handle this (discount towards frameset/bike) vs Cannondale being not as gracious.

Depending on Cannondale's reply you might call one of the paintless dent repair car shops and see if they can pull the dent out... I imagine the answer will be "are you out of your ever loving mind???" but it's worth a try... I've had that done a couple of times on my car and watching the guy take door dings out of the side of my VW was pretty impressive.

Meh ride it till it snaps in half. That kinda dent is normal on alu mtbs and it's fine to ride. Trying to bend the dent back will actually make it worse because alu fatigue strength is poo.
