Bridgestone RB-T
I’m due to pick up my 1991 (I think) Bridgestone RB-T tommorrow from a local small bike shop that shops & restores bikes. I was actually pretty unfamiliar with Bridgestones (I know!) until I ran into this one, talked to the shop owner and did some research. It just fit what I was looking for! After raiding Sheldon Browns site I’m pretty excited to get my hands on this puppy officially. At $375 + 30 day warranty on all Labor I think I’m getting a solid deal.
I think the Avocet seat is original as far as the other specs I’m unsure but took some pics the day I saw it and were sent some now that it’s ready for pick up.
Sooo what’s it worth? Is there anything I should request/ask about before I pick it up? I know it’s not the RB-1 but should I be ok in a bike enthusiastic city not getting it nabbed when out and about? Thanks!

That's a solid price on that bike especially coming from a bike shop which tend to charge more due to overhead/labor costs, etc. Those are fine bikes.

For a RB-T in good ready to ride condition fully serviced from a shop this is a very good price. You got a great bike at a great price these are one of the best all around bikes you can get.

Yeah, you did fine on the price...but you did it backwards - it is usually a lot more helpful to ask around if a price is good before buying 
I happen to ride and love an RB1 and there is no reason to compare your RBT unfavorably to one. I'm pretty sure that at the time GP called it their most versatile bike. And, FWIW, in the iconic (at least to me) catalogue pic of Pineapple Bob just cruising along chillin' and eatin' - he's riding an RBT...
Look forward to seeing pics of yours...

My only questions would be about what was done to the bike: wheel bearings, bottom bracket, headset bearings, brake pads, tires, wheels trued, new cables and housings? Don't expect everything on this list, but the more that was done the less you will have to do later.
I bought a refurbished bike two years ago from a guy in Orlando, told me he had owned a bike shop for 35 years. I bought it for the parts, not his work. Instead of replacing rusty cables, he carefully painted them silver! Of course, this meant cables stuck in the housings. Incredible! Needless to say, everyone has a different definition of restoration. Certainly the guy in Orlando was the worst! Fortunately, the parts I bought the bike for were worth it. His work? I had to cut all the cables just to get them loose....
