Any relationship to @Velo Vol?
Wonder if the bear will end up in the Wissahickon like the last one. Lots of woods there and the creek.

GMA is broadcasting less than a mile from my house today. Despite the rain I think I will swing by on the way to work.

Speaking of C02, I am down to my last cartridge so I went to WalMart to buy a new box of #15 12g unthreaded cartridges for $6.97. They have them locked in the same glass case as they have gun ammo. I had to wait for someone to unlock the case and then when I bought them they wanted my ID. Of course they have actual GUNS on the shelf you can pick up without needing a sales associate to get it for you.

While I was getting my haircut today they had a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new head shop next door. It had quite the crowd, I asked if they were handing out free samples.

I don’t know. My guess is that the staff is trained to consider anything locked in the ammo case as requiring ID. I chose the path of least resistance and did not make a fuss.

Shopping completed, crap taken off boat, stuff put on boat, stuff put away, broken things fixed, personal gear sorted, tanks filled, emergency drills done, briefings listened to, strategy discussed, parties attended, spouses called, and we start tomorrow at about 1250!
The first 24 hrs will be a slog, but fast. Later should be beautiful with a moderate sea state, but enough wind to keep moving well, sunny days, and moonlit nights. Might even be able to open some hatches to air out the stank and crack open a book on the off watch.
Have a great weekend, all!
