Yep. I dig deep when I do things. Easiest for me to quit cold turkey. No moderation in my nature.

I've just started to educate myself, thinking about a home server. Tried to discuss it with my husband, I will just tell him what I'm doing after I've done it.

A couple weeks ago, I had related that I've been feeling... a little run down. I felt great while out of town, but two days after returning from a mini-vacation, that feeling has set in again and I'm ready to declare that @datlas was right, at least in a round-about way - I'm getting old.
My nutrition was, not surprisingly, poorer while out of town... yet I felt better, so I don't think the fugue is nutrition related. I think that the two main factors in favor of that increased pep were: lower exertion (I walked/hiked a lot, but no riding) and ~8 hours of sleep per night. I think that, when exercising at higher exertions (riding), I'm just not giving my aging body enough time to recover while at home. This getting older is for the birds.
Anyway, I'm going to blame the early-waking kids and the conspiring cats (the cats like to wake the kids no later than 6am if they haven't received their breakfast yet). Between the kids and cats, I have an average wake time of about 5:30. It pains me to say it, but until that changes, I think that I need to start getting ready for bed at 9:30pm or possibly earlier. That, and I think that I'm going to stop feeding these damn cats before 9am or so to see if that'll eventually keep them from waking the house in anticipation of their breakfast.

I don't have a problem hitting the hay at 8:00-8:30 on school nights. Getting up at 4:00 just makes that a necessity, like it or not. Of course, I don't have kids or cats, but even if I did, I have enough duct tape to make my required sleep goals a reality.

The wife shamed me into mowing first, instead of riding first (yesterday I had the shakes when I came in from mowing). Hopefully I will be shake free when I come in from riding in a couple hours. Low 90s and quite humid. But overcast and a bit windy.
Perhaps I could follow it up with a puckery beer.

I grouted some of the floor yesterday.
Now my knee hurts. Usually it's pes ans and clears after a few days rest and hamstring stretches.
Bummer. Wanted to ride this morning.

Been working on my sister's car (oil cooler on a 2006 Forester) in a 115 degree garage, so general malaise has set in, and there's a bit of motor oil and kitty litter in my hair. Hopefully a dip in the pool will set me right again.

One of my friends has drunk the tubeless Kool Aid. He has the LBS do all his wrenching. He just got new Sprcialized tires put on.
I asked how he likes them, he says they are fine but lose all their air overnight. I told him that’s NOT normal and he should insist that they find/fix the leak(s). I told him best guess is at valve. His previous tires were Hutchinsons and did not lose air.

He is pretty high up in that huge financial services company in town that starts with Van and ends with Guard so he likely has $$$$ so he outsources all his wrenching, but in this case he got screwed. Sad!

He said all of the air. Clearly not a reader of bikeforums. I told him clearly this is not normal and he should get it fixed.
