Steel frame repair

My son crashed his Gary Fisher Presidio and needs someone who can straighten the rear dropout and integral derailleur hanger. It's a steel frame.

Anyone in the New York Metro area?

Rick Jones up in Glen Cove maybe. I’ve never met or had him do any work for me, but I know his mentor. The shop -Road Runners, has been around for decades.

Spoke to Russell@ Brickwell, he said "We have the tool here to align the frame and straighten the dropouts on steel bikes."

Glad there's a full service shop locally.

I've done the dropouts/hanger on my Kona 3x with tools I made from threaded rod, but no way I'm going to risk someone else's frame. Rick Jones re-spaced and aligned my Bilenky tandem and did a perfect job a few years ago.

I remember all 3 of Jamie Swan's shops......the first one was my favorite.

Rick learned his skills from Jamie. I think he worked at Centerport Cycles when Jamie was still running the business.
