Seeking new interactive radar map
For a good number of years, I used the Intellicast Interactive Map to track storms, precipitation, and other weather events that might impact my outdoor cycling plans. It was darned good...in several different regions of the US, I successfully used it to predict storm comings and goings with ~5-10 minutes accuracy.
Intellicast apparently got absorbed by WUnderground, and I cannot find the old map to save my life. If anyone knows where to find it, or has info on a similarly accurate weather prediction map, I'd be interested to hear about it.

I use Raindar, it's strictly radar. But very accurate. It will give a storm track, that I don't use but I can read when a thunderstorm is producing hail from it by the color of the image. And like your old app this one you can predict storms within a couple minutes also.

It will tell you, to the minute, when rain will start. (It has occasionally been off by a minute or two, but it's damned accurate!)

Another droid Raindar user. Very close to real time doppler radar with google traffic (within settings). It's small, fast and non-invasive.

This.
The app is insanely good.
It will give you weather based on your street address and say "The rain will continue for 4 minutes" then 4 minutes later...poof...rain is gone.
It's that accurate.
Now it's all done with algorithms making estimates based on variables. And with a storm system sometimes variables changed unexpectedly. So the app can't be perfect. But it's about as close to perfect as you're going to get.
It has radar views too. So you can make your own predictions of when a storm will pass if you prefer.

I still like Weather Underground, perhaps I'm used to it. It shows percentage chance of rain next to amount expected. A 60% chance of .0" or even 0" is no cause for alarm.
The radar seems accurate. On my Android, I like the small desktop widget that shows current Temp plus expected Hi and Loplus current conditions, all in a 1x1 square.
I did check out darksky and liked the wind vector map, but wonder how useful that is.
But as my bike has fenders and since I started riding with rain gear in my commute bag, I don't care about sprinkles or moderate rain...only big storms.
All in all, I like this thread and am checking out other apps which have all been updated since I last checked.
Thanks@wipekitty
