Older Ladies Specialized Crossroads

Not sure of the year. 8.5/10 condition wise. It appears to be all original. It has a really nice specialized kick stand that I might put on my rockhopper.
Itíd make a nice mixtie.
Whatís a fair Facebook & eBay price? Thanks!!!

In my market, typically I'd list a bike like that for $150 (with a better saddle) and take $120. However, I've noticed the market for lower priced riders is hot right now due to people wanting to exercise during social distancing. I'd bump it to $175.

This is assuming the bike is good riding condition. The faded, oversized spoke protector also distracts from the bike's beauty so I'd remove it.

Nice Crossroads Cruz. It is a Ladies frame not a Mixte, that is a particular style of frame. The Suntour would likely date this to the very early '90s, That saddle has to go.

A Mixe frame has a set of stays running from the top of the head tube to the dropouts.

Every market is different. In my market, it would not be worth the time and effort to sell. Might get $50 for it after putting another $40 into it, along with some time. Instead, if I was given that bike, I would donate it. Tires are obviously OLD, saddle is bad, etc.

Ebay? First, I sell a lot of bike stuff on Ebay. As far as this bike? Forget it. Ebay is best suited to higher end bikes that justify the cost of shipping ($75 to $100). No one wants to pay $75 in shipping on a $50 bike. Now when you have a $600 bike, sure, Ebay is an option. And in the case of Ebay, YOU have to carefully pack and ship at a reasonable price. Having a LBS pack for you just increases price even more. LBS in my town charges $100 to pack a bike (which is on the high side, but it is what it is). Add $75 for shipping, and you are talking $175 in cost for a $50 bike.

OK, lets say my estimate is low. No one wants to pay $75 shipping for a $125 bike either.

Got something desirable with high demand? Ebay can open up a nationwide or even global market (but shipping bikes internationally is a royal PITA).

I never got $175 for a bike of this ilk even back in the "good old days". Of course, every market is different. Right now, I can pick up a nice higher end Cannondale touring bike, with great parts, for $150. And it has been posted for several weeks, so a realistic offer below that price would likely work.

+10 Not a mixte.

I think that is a 1991 in Cerise. Nice survivor.
