Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

6 one, half dozen the other. Legs, I always do before, simply because weights mess with the bike, bike messes with the legs. When in weight phase, weights take precedent, sort of.

I’m just doing one-leg stationary lunges with the back foot on a step. Not enough to do much to the bike or vice Verma versa. Need a group 27 battery to hug.

Just to clarify, I am not working out with an Indian guy

Having a denier as a supervisor, has it's own challenges. His wife has lupus, among other things, and I think he should be locked down as a courtesy to her. Of course, he doesn't want to be there, and lobbied hard to his supervisor to include us in the essential pool. That included tossing in the fact that we (I) could find the electrical issue in his Subaru.

Howard Shore used an anvil and other metal objects in the LOTR score. Anvils are heavy, so brake drum is often substituted in performance.

I did my second group ride of the day on Zwift. This was more fun because it was a meetup for my club and I knew most of the riders. We had voice chat on Discord which allows safe distance socialization and smack-talking. A couple riders either showed up late or did not have the ability to properly join the meetup, so they were not recognized as part of the group and could not benefit from the “Keep Group Together” setting. One of them got dropped right away. Sad! The others were able to hang with us.

It was still fake miles, but reasonably fun. Since I had an invisible hand keeping me with the group, I did not work as hard as my first ride. Apparently my average power was 2 W/Kg, which is my “cruise comfortably/conversational” pace.

Use an emergency brake cable wrapped around it, and adjust as needed.

Problem with the minimizers and deniers is that if they are young and healthy, they will almost certainly be fine, thus “proving” they were right. They will point to the huge numbers of sick (and sadly, dead) as “fake news” or “sick old people who would have died this year anyway.”

Sad.

I let the supercharged Tacoma scream on South Boulder Road yesterday. That was fun. No one was out and a presumed reduced police presence. It ain't a McClaren, but it's still fun. When we bought it in 2012, I told my wife we'd have that truck when it came time for the kid to drive. She said no way, BS.

About to hit 60k and still new. She was talking about giving the truck to the kid this week. Great big safe vehicle to learn how to drive, she says.

For you Chicago sports fans, ESPN has the Kerry Wood 20 strikeout game today and NBA TV has Jordan's 69 point game against the Cavs.

Indycar at Watkins Glen at 4 eastern. I am surprised how realistic the iRacing stuff is. Cup at Texas tomorrow, and that's on network TV.

I like it. 60K isn't even "broke in" yet. Getting a virtually new truck will be awesome.
