if you be on the Canadian side of the border and are jonesing for a cheap french tandem to work on, how about a Gitane? Pretty much a frame that needs paint with some parts ...

Located in Welland, Ontario (about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-road-bike/st...nce/1494300973

Circa 1975 Tandem, 5 speeds bicycle for two, Made in France

Per ad:
$90.00CDN (about $65USD)"Not refurbished yet, and in "as found" condition, this is a Tandem bicycle that has a number of French parts. I have seen similar frames in "Gitane" french made tandem bicycles, and that is probably the original manufacturer. There are no original markings, as it has been repainted. It appears to be from late 1970's or early 80's vintage.

Selling it as is to someone who is handy and can give it the TLC it needs to be back on the roads.

Frame, paint colour : Tubular Steel frame, no tubing or brand stickers. Blue repaint over a metallic, lighter colour original.W Frame has surface rusts and will need full stripping and repaint.

Frame size : 54 cm seat tube for captain (front seat), center to center; 52 cm seat tube for the stoker (rear seat), center to center;

Aluminum alloy sidepull brakes (probably Weinmann). Weinmann aluminum alloy brake levers. Rear "Atom" aluminum alloy hub with drum brake.

Aluminum alloy "Stronglight" tandem cranksets, square pin splined bottombracket. "SR" aluminum alloy pedals. "SR" aluminum alloy stem, 80 mm.

Aluminum alloy handlebars for front and read riders.

Shimano rear derailleur and Shimano aluminum alloy shifter.

27" Steel rims with 36 spokes front and rear, in poor condition. 27 x 1 1/4" tires in poor condition. (** the wheelset could be replaced with a more modern 700c set, allowing for more and better tires selection. I would use Schwalbe Marathon tires in such a refit.)

Aluminum alloy "Norco" luggage carrier rack in fair condition.

This bicycle is ideal for someone looking for a cool vintage bike project.

It's time for it to find a new owner who can bring it back to riding condition and enjoy it. Located in Welland"

Seller has some low end bikes he is selling which he described as a "collection" including a Sekine $150 CDN, a Falcon $150CDN and a CCM Elan $110 CDN.

56cm Guerciotti SLX Campagnolo high end steel - $800 (Lowell)

I am selling a vintage Italian made Guerciotti road bike with a 56cm Columbus SLX frameset, Columbus chrome fork, 2x8 Campagnolo record/chorus mix group I believe, Cinelli bar, Cinelli stem , Guerciotti matching water bottle, Flite titanium saddle and 700c Campagnolo Omega aero wheels. As the bike sits right now it needs some BB work, a chain and a bit of lube. The previous owner ran the cable housing to accept the tri bar attachment so to remove those requires re arranging all the cable housing. Overall frame condition is excellent the chrome fork has a little bit of pitting on the non drive side but very minor. Typically a bike of this caliber from this brand comes with a 4 digit price tag so please don't waste time low balling me absurd offers. Sold as is for cash and pick up only. Please mention name, item, a phone number for a response all other emails or texts will be considered spam and will be ignored. Thanks

Well if it isn't a flippin' Waterford-era 1988 Schwinn Paramount frameset in my size (not like the 62cm I have redone), in black, and in good shape for a good price!! $400 for a 63.5cm example in Santa Barbara. Two small rust bits from brake caliper contact and the other from storage, but otherwise just dirty. I know that paint can clean up well. I have had a feeling that this, if it hasn't gone for a month so far, won't go now that we're all in stay-at-home land. Buuuuut, if anyone wanted to facilitate... Otherwise, LA BF members that are tall, it's all yours!

1979 Centurion Pro Tour? And SR?

And just like that it sold already!

Two for $60. Technically stay at home order in Colorado but a pretty good bargain. Like the looks of the Centurion which I think is a 79 pro tour.

I have a couple of nice Koga-Miyata's here:

1) Koga-Miyata Terrarunner Carbolite MTB
Lugged carbon fibre frame with a lightweigh steel fork and mostly Shimano XT parts.
Pickup in Valkenswaard the Netherlands.
€350

2) 1997 Koga-Miyata SilverAce size between 53-57cm
Lightweight Hardtlite FM-1 (Splined Triple butted chromoly tubing)
Bit of a mish-mash of some parts but the basis looks solid.
7-speed Shimano Nexus hubs with rollerbrakes
€40

3) Koga-Miyata Forest mixed - size 55cm
Lightweight butted aluminum frame with a classic double top tube mixte frame.
€80
