Well, pardon me for not taking this seriously. I thought after perusing seven eye-glazing pages and 170-odd photos of bike frames we might be ready for some actual eye candy.

So, after 170+ photos of beautiful, 50+-er's blue bikes, you figured a tacky*, stock, watermarked photo would look good, here?

*Not the lass, she's attractive and tasteful. It's the watermarking that's tacky.

A blue bike thread? Here's a photo I took the other day while helping to setup for an event. It's of a kids bike that I keep around for when friends and family visit.

My 'moon lander' Miyata Ridge Runner. Found completely stock at my local Salvation Army and made all cushy.

I've put more miles on this bike than any other. Fits me like a glove, and corners like it's on rails with the stiff frame and Panaracer Gravelking tires. Cannondales are not just fast in sprints and climbs, I'm convinced I can descend faster on my Cannondale too.

It's an original Criterium Series from 1988. The fork is a steel one I found at the bike co-op, may have from a Lemond, not sure. Stripped the paint, polished the metal, and then clear coated it, it's holding up well, and I like the way it looks on this bike. Stem is also from the co-op, came off a high-end Bianchi. Brand new Tange headset, 165 mm cranks, 32 sprocket low gear, I love this thing.

1982 Mercian Colorado originally built as a team-issue bike for a master's class racer on the Harvest/The Spoke/Mercian team in Colorado that produced Marianne Martin, winner of the 1984 Tour de France Feminine. Acquired as a bare and stripped frameset and currently wearing a functional melange of scavenged goodies -

Colnago Mexico 1972

This is a re-post from another thread (Show Us Your I-talians!) but it's blue! I built this new in 1977. I cleaned it and took it for a spin today. It still feels great! I still love blue!
