Painted Fenders?
I recently asked about painting plastic fenders with base and clear coat. Thanks to all who responded! I posted that I might just go with the hammered metal, but now I have a question.
The frame is my 1984 Miyata 610 that I have repainted a French Blue with a cream headtube. What would your opinion be on matching blue fenders? Or would it look better with the shiny hammered ones?

Paint the mudguards cream colour to match the headtube. You'll have too much blue if you do the mudguards that colour too.

Interesting idea,unfortunately I only bought a small amount of the cream and it is not enough to do the fenders.

I might suggest that you paint the mudguards, your French Blue colour. Then add a pinstripe in the Cream colour about a quarter of the way in on both sides from the edges running end to end. You could “end” these pinstripes with a Cream Coloured panel as your paint quantity allows at the end like the original Raleigh 3-speed mudguards.
