Schwalbe 26x1 1/4 tires (tyres) on sale. Group buy?
The price is good at 12 pounds (a little less than a buck fifty to the pound these days) and now they're on sale at 8 pounds each!

Yeah, they just got back to me. They say the tires are too bulky. Clifford, I'll look into that link after work today. See if i can figure out their scheme.
FWIW, this guy has a pair if genuine Raleigh tires that he's willing to ship for !2 pounds;

If you need to pad out an SJS order, I could be persuaded to snag a Jtek Shiftmate.
I believe they are now the primary supplier of the device.

BTW, anybody know if the HS130 is happy with a double-twist fold? It might make shipping easier.

I might be able to order a boat-load of tyres from SJS or Spa and ship them to a designated address in the States.
I'm not sure if that would save you much money - if at all.? You'd still have to pay for postage to me, then the postage across the Pond.
I think you might be able to put one twist into those tyres, to create a 'figure of eight' pattern. I think they have steel beads, so they won't take much more than that....
I must warn you that I've never done anything like this before though, so it might be cheaper and faster to get them to post direct to you...

If the company gives free shipping for a minimum order, then that is the way to go, provided you can pad out your order with stuff you (or somebody) needs, all at reasonable prices.

Know someone that manufactures Bikes? OEM pricing is lower than wholesale to Dealers.
Buying in UK you have to buy GBP which are more expensive than the dollar ..

SJS says shipping 12 tyres would cost 85 pounds. That's about $120, so we're looking at about $22 per tyre total, plus shipping from my house in Rhode Island to yours.

I think I need the Shiftmate #1 .
But, I'm still trying to decide what I actually need.
I'm wanting to try Campy shifters + Shimano Cassette.
With 9s, I think I've settled on trying a Campy 9s shifters + Campy 8s derailleur = Shimano 9s cassette, and No Shiftmate.
10s would require a Shiftmate #1 (or perhaps also using the Campy 8 derailleur).
11s is apparently close, but uses about half the difference of the Shiftmate #1 .
I've also had a little problems getting the full range with my current Suntour FD with Microshift 9 shifters, but I'm probably better off just replacing the FD. It does have a top pull to bottom pull reversing pulley, so a shiftmate-like device would be easy to incorporate.
But, I'm still trying to decide what I actually need.
