SRAM GX-1400 11-speed crank on 12s drivetrain?

All,

I'm looking to do a budget 12s upgrade on my current bike. It came equipped 2x10 and I'm looking to go 1x12. Between the Sunrace 11-50 12s cassette, and SRAM GX 12s shifter/derailleur/chain being cheap enough, I'm just trying to figure out what crankset to use.

I have an unused GX-1400 1x crank w/ a 32t ring that is noted for 11s sitting in a box on a shelf, so I'm trying to determine if this might be workable.

So, had anyone used this w/ a 12s setup? Or does this leave the chainline all out of whack?

(Be gentle, I come from the road world.)
