Is this a good deal? 07 LeMond Limoges $999
Hi,
I am thinking about a road bike and I saw an ad from a lbs. I am thinking of stopping by and checking it out. Is this bike Clyde friendly? I am 5'11 and 260.
Thanks for any advice!
Sean

It's in the same family as a road bike (can easily be turned into one by swapping out the handlebars), but it's setup for Triatheletes.
It retails for just over $2,000 so if you found one for $1,000 that's about 50% off retail.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Actually, there are some major geometry differences as well, like seat tube angle is a lot more vertical, and the HB height is much lower. The seat tube is more vertical to allow for easier transition to running by using many of the same muscles as you would when running. A Tri bike is specifically designed for riding with the back as close to parallel with the top tube as possible, as well.

I couldn't stop myself, I had to stop and look at it. It sure is purty! I had to go pick up the kids so I only had a few minutes.
Has anyone tried to convert a tri bike into a road bike? If yes, how did it turn out?

Not to mention the 09 model year will either have a significant price increase or component downgrade....or both, depending on fuel and shipping costs from the raw material stage on up to retailer shipping.
