Broken spokes + flat tire

Hello all. I am very new to ebiking and bike mechanics/ maintenance in general. I have just bought a secondhand Schwinn AL1020 electric bike not too long ago, and love it. However, I'm having some small issues (I hope) with the back tire. I recently got a flat tire and upon further inspection noticed 2 spokes were broken with several more being loose. Can this be fixed easily by a bike repair shop? How much will the necessary repairs cost me? (approx) Thanks and any help is appreciated

My local bike shop can fix it easily. Next time I go by there I'll ask them for an estimate.

Yes it can be done by a shop . You looking at around $ 50 .00 for parts and labor . Parts will be two spokes , tube . labor will be truing of the wheel and replacing the tube and putting the tire back on .

Thanks, just to clarify do you mean a bicycle shop can do it or does it have to be an actual electric bike repair shop?

The next question might be how long will the repair last. Only time will tell that answer. Andy.

$50.00?? I understand that this wheel needs repaired, but my shops only charge ~$15 for a truing. I can't imagine it being more than $35?

Probably, any reputable shop will want to replace all the spokes. Figure at least $100 total.

+1
The other spokes have likely been over fatigued and are on the verge of failure.

the labor charge is just a est. different shop charge different rates for different jobs . since they have to remove the tire to replace the tube and spokes , and as others had said there may be other spokes that need replacing too .
