I've seen examples of there star nuts on here someplace. I was searching for Rudge pathfinders and getting that and similar results from other bike Marques. Don't remember at the moment which brand...

Oh, unrelated. That sticker ( BB) on the 970 I had the same one on my white Trek 400. It had frame irregularities that made it usable but not a standard build. The chainstay driveside was not crimped to allow much space for the chainring.
