1970's John Deere boys muscle bike.
I just bought one of these at estate sale. I was wanting to know what the value is and if there are any interested buyers out there.

Friend of mine had a truckload of JD bikes. Spent a couple years dragging them to bike swaps with no interest from anyone. He was going to junk them but a local auctioneer convinced him to put them in an auction for JD equipment and collectibles. Sold every single one at premium prices. As bicycles go they were pretty much worthless but if you find the right JD fan they can bring good money. JMO.

Old tractors is another interest I have, although not as much as old bikes. I have seen, in person, all the John Deere bike models and none of them are high end bikes, so there isn't much interest among bike people. Each model had a specific color and most of them were not green and yellow. The name is what attracts attention. If you take it to a tractor show or consignment auction, it will probably get snapped up. John Deere cultivated brand loyalty and wanted to make their dealerships a one stop shop. They put their name on a lot of things a farmer might buy for his home besides farm machinery.

Thank You for the info. From what i've gathered there were ample amounts of the 3 and 10 speed bikes out there. This is the 20" yellow boys bike with the banana seat and chopper handlebars. I can find a lot of the others out there but can only dig up a few past sales of this style.
