Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I agree.

When I started this thread I never meant it to be taken too seriously, and I had absolutely no idea it would go on this long. I've seen people get seriously bent out of shape at times in it which always makes me do a virtual facepalm.

I agree. Even when the color scheme leaves something to be desired, they still look good.

Yes, it does make more sense with a person on it, because then you don't notice how heavy and ponderous looking the aerobar contraption is on top of the festive looking frame and the technical looking, brightly metallic wheels and components.

Except for the cable routing through the middle of the top tube. That looks so odd to me.

I thought the routing that goes into the top tube was only for electronic shifting, however, this appears to not be electronic, so I have no idea what that cable is.

Appears that the cables running vertically into the top tube plunge into the downtube to the front and rear mech. Only the rear brake cable runs coaxial to the top tube as evidenced by the cable 2nd from the right in that pic.

Nice! Is that one of the new "power" saddles with the short nose? Also, what bars are you running, I like the shape of that drop.

Yes, it is an SWorks power saddle. Ritchey WCS Logic Curve bars. I love these bars so much. The reach and drop are perfect for me!

Congrats! Great looking bike. That top tube ensures the Cannondales are never going out of style.

That's hot. Excellent work.

I think the red accents are bad ass. In my opinion, the yellow/gumwall attempt detracts from the look, especially with the gold chain. I'd go black tires, although that might overly accentuate the chain. The Power saddle reminds me of the Adamo, but so what. And just to nitpick, is that tape on the rear valve and an Enve valve extender on the front? I gave up on them, even on my 65mm rims.

Thank you. My shop didn't have any 60mm valve stems so I had to get these. Will be swapping them out. The black tires would look great too, but I just had a specific vision I was going for.

Right now it sits at 13.7. That's with the heavy cannondale seatpost that I had to borrow from my buddy. Will be getting a superlogic seatpost and extralite. The seatpost alone should save me about 110g. The stem should save 20ish. New tubes will be another 20-30g. By the end, I'm hoping to break 13lbs.

The wheels have been amazing. Don't regret the purchase at all.
