Cool video, man – I really enjoyed it. Way to take advantage of what's available!
However, it does reenforce how thankful I am that I live in "the sticks" out West with easy access to many hundreds of miles of trails and millions of acres of undeveloped public land.

Thanks for checking it out. Yeah, I'm definitely keeping it close to home and generally don't do this. But I haven't been traveling to trails all like that. Man I wish I lived more in the upper state region. Everyone wants to be in NYC, when I'm trying to leave lol.

Good video, you have good skills and explain well what you are doing.
2 thoughts on NYC riding. There are only 2 "legal" locations in all of the city where you can take a bike off pavement - Highbridge Park in Manhattan at the extreme north tip, and Cunningham Park in Queens. Of the 2, Cunningham is the best developed for mt. biking and has terrific features to ride on. So be careful of the Dept, of Parks folks who might give you a ticket. Maybe someday they will open up more stuff such as in Prospect Park, Staten Island (ton's of possibilities) and at Floyd Bennett in Brooklyn.
Or take the LIRR out to Bethpage and ride the trails at BP State Park (12+ miles), which connects to TrailView State Park and the Blue trail north (8 miles one-way) to, Manetto Hills Park (4 miles), and Stillwell Woods (7 ?).
