Maynard, MA to Tewksbury, MA via Concord & Billerica using 62 & 4
21.3 miles
I know I see bikers and probably some are commuters along some of this. Any of you guys/gals on bikeforums care to share what the kill zones are? :-)
One of these links should work:
https://g.co/maps/ydah2
https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=ap...a=1,2,3,4&z=12
I used to have a breezy 13 miler to Natick, but this is not Grandpa's walk in the park. I would be leaving my car at the office so I could take a quick 3 minute ride to my gym for showering and dressing. I'd be leaving my car at the office overnight acting as locker for work clothes over nite and drying riding gear during the day. I'll start with one work day and see how it goes. I already did a test run with the old commuter before winter one quiet Saturday.
hmmm seems like google send to gps feature only sends the destination not the actual route map

You could do some off road paths. Smooth dirt. From concord center, take the dirt extension of the MM bike path. Starts next to some lumber store/ ends in bedford at the paved end of the mm bike path. Then take the gravel spur it goes almost to middlesex turnpike. You should find it crossing spring st.

did the run today. not too bad. out of shape and I was hurting on the way home. my avrg speed was slower on my way home. shouldn't be so bad with time off to rest. today I did the quick turn around after a short break to snack at the office picnic table. stopped for real food and another rest 1/2 way home. was a fairly straight forward route.

meanwhile 7-8 yrs later I’ve fine tuned the route, so, not what the above links are, but it’s still 22 miles. last summer I recorded several consistent rides in to work w/ a quick pit stop taking 1 hr 45 min. coming home I’m slower taking 2 hrs flat
don't have my round trip stats handy for when I’ve done the up & back riding both ways
but recently did it using a park & pedal about 1/2 way
