Xootr Swift Metallic Blue—For Sale $300
Shows the sear lower
I have a nearly brand new Xootr Swift FOLDING BIKE in excellent condition which is Metallic Blue. I’ve added a few extra parts and maintained all adjustments.
I have posted this bike and photos on Craig’s List in San Luis Obispo, CA. I’m posting this just in case I can’t post photos on this site.
My asking price is $300.00
You can email me at pismobiker@gmail.com, or call me at 805-773-4600 with questions or offers.

People might actually respond to your sale post if it's posted in the Folding Bike section,...
And do you ship, or is this pick-up only?

I’m a rookie in posting ad on Bike Forums
tds101,
This is the FIRST time I have posted a Bike for sale on this Forum. I thought I was posting in the FOLDING BIKE for sale thread???
I’ll try to find the correct thread when I post again.
I don’t really plan on shipping, unless it’s close by. The last time I sold a mountain bike, 26” wheels, it was to a 40 year old guy in New York. I’m in California. I packed it really well, even using rubber inflated inner tubes inside the bike sized cardboard box to protect the the bike. When it arrived at the buyers home in New York, his mother phoned me and informed me he had passed away several days ago, and she was stopping payment on his check.
Long story, short. She returned the bike to me by mail. It finally arrived at my home wrapped like a TACO in a cardboard tortilla, missing most parts and bent up. The shipper was UPS. They told me that my packaged bike was involved in a train wreck and suffered some damage.
Anyway, after a long wait, I finally received full reimbursement from UPS.
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Hey,...I highly doubt I'd die before I received the bike. And my WIFE wouldn't stop payment on a bike I'd have purchased either,...1 of my 4 children would take it as a keepsake. And as for the train wreck? The transaction was, apparently doomed from the beginning (death, train accident, non-paying mother of survivor, etc,...). I've had multiple transactions on this site (buying AND selling) and I've NEVER had an issue with any of them.
Anyway, good luck with the sale.
PS: If you do decide to sell and ship, there's a company called BikeFlights that ships bike for cyclists. On my last transaction here on BikeForums the seller used them to ship my bike to me (a Dahon Curve). The bike arrived in perfect condition. This might be something for you to look into, for buying/selling AND for travel in the future.

I’m enjoying your thoughts on my problems
tds101
I’m enjoying your posted thoughts on problems with my bike sales and shipping same. It makes for interesting, funny and entertaining reading.
When my current ad expires, I’ll post a new one mentioning it’s a folding bike and shipping is possible, but expensive.
Then I’ll see, and you’ll see, if it makes any differences. In the meantime I’ll just continue riding and enjoying my Xootr Swift Folding Bike.
thanks again, tds101!
