Greetings from California, USA
Greetings from Surf City, California. Balance issues caused me to start riding an adult trike; in 2016 I rode 1,800 miles in Long Beach, CA. Then I rode a two-wheel mountain bike for a month, but one crash broke my hip. I couldn’t walk, and at the hospital they confirmed it was broke and scheduled me for total hip replacement surgery the next day. In the aftermath, I moved from Long Beach to Huntington Beach (Los Angeles County to Orange County). I’m still attending college in Long Beach and ride my trike from Huntington Beach to Long Beach – 32 miles round trip. In 2018 I rode 4,569 miles, which was helpful breaking in my new hip. In June 2018, I assembled my third and current adult tricycle, a 26” Schwinn Meridian. So far 2019 is another great cycling year and the best is yet to come.
