Beach Cruisers Do you love balloon tires and fenders? Do you love riding the simplicity of a single gear and coaster brakes or a single gear cluster? Do you love the classic curves in the tubing of a cruiser that takes you back to the 1950's and 1960's, stylistically? Here's your home! Welcome to the Beach Cruisers and Cruisers forum!

I love Beach Cruisers

I love the way they look.
I love the way they ride.
My son lives in a beach community. Kind of yuppie, trendy, Long Island style.
It's a total cruiser town. Main street has bike racks filled with multicolored cruisers
of different makes, but all have that unmistakable cruiser look. All the twenty somethings ride them,
as well as the older folks. The younger kids still like their bmx's and of course there is the road bike crew,
but for every bike that is not a cruiser there are 10 that are. I love it.

I used to ride the road bikes a lot but as I get older I seem to enjoy the cruiser more nowadays as I get older. Not to mention wind chimes and flip flops.

I rented one in Myrtle Beach for a week and had a great time on it. Simple, comfy, and fun.

I ride mine more than my road bike or my MTB. In New Mexico, there aren't many beaches, but we got lots of sand! I did install a 7 speed rear hub for the hills.
