Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? They underwent a complete site/possibly warehouse too? renovation, prices have gone up quite a bit. I haven't ordered from them for a bit because it was really messy for a while, with customers not getting their items and really bad notification regarding order processing and dispatching. Not sure how it is now, though.

Just finished building this one for my girlfriend for her birthday. She'll be getting a different seat, this is just the best of my spares.

moar!

I know, budget, and all that but that bike deserves some nice alloy pedals.

It's such a great frameset. I didn't think I'd build it as a cross bike and then switch it up. I like that by swapping wheels, cranks and bars it becomes a different bike.

I'll probably make it back into a woods bike in a few weeks.

Free is my second favorite four-letter word that starts with "F".

Nice score. Stem is too short, though.

haha it's only a 56cm top tube...so the 160mm stem (yes, really) fits me great with these risers.

While that is a nice bike, and the price is definitely right, it doesn't fit you. 160mm stem means the frame is just too small. I cannot imagine how that bike handles.

next thing you'll tell me is that my 58cm top tube bike with a 110mm stem and drops bars (with 76mm of reach) doesn't fit me....

I don't. I do know that a 160mm stem on a 56cm top tube means that the stem is too long, or the frame is too short.

Bought a Gilles berthoud saddle bag that is incredible and manages to hold 90% of my stuff and I decided to put the hand pump on the bike instead of carrying it in my backpack. It looks much more utilitarian now and I'm Really digging it. I bought some cane creek hoods that's I'm gonna set up next weekend to add to utilitarian thing it's kind of got going now.
