I have a Park and don't like the accuracy for the $'s. it reads lbs - oz and Kg with only two decimal places. Works well for bikes but I would and will get a smaller one for parts.

For complete bikes I would use a bathroom scale. It is reasonably accurate.
For parts I use a President's Choice kitchen scale from the grocery store, accurate to 1 gram. So far it's been fine although my usage is to determine which weight bracket my items fall into for shipping.

i just got a fishing scale with a 50lb limit. mine weighs in pounds/ounces or kilograms to .000 (so it weighs to the whole gram). it's not perfect if you want to weigh all your smallest parts, but it worked fine for the main components and bikes as a whole.

I got a baby scale...digital and not bad at all
we bought it for the kids...but its weighed postal, bike parts, cooking ....all kinds of stuff.
"my weigh mbs 2010" is the model-the baby part comes off and it is a normal scale now.

This is for complete bicycles and/or frame set and/or "the one that got away"...
This is for small parts...
And this is what some of the bicycles I have owned weigh.

I have one of these, and I've found it to be perfectly adequate for my needs. It is 100% accurate? Perhaps not, but I'm sure it's close enough, and, for $3.23 with free shipping, it's more than adequate for my needs.

I use my wife's digital food scale for small parts. I try to do it when she's not looking.

I see a lot of digital luggage scales at discount clothing stores (Marshalls, Ross, etc.,) but I haven't tried one yet. I use the bathroom scale method sometimes, or a digital AC coolant scale if I can fit the part on the platform.

I've had the same scale for a couple years now and it's worked well. I bought it as a postal scale for weighing packages to ship, but it works great for bike parts too.
For bike weights, I weigh myself on a regular scale, then weigh myself holding the bike off the ground, then find the difference to get the bike weight. Not the most accurate method, but it's close enough to give me a general idea.

The problem with fishing scales is that they weigh heavy.

+3, and I've weighed pedals, etc. I have a postal scale from stamps.com for the other stuff, but I've even weighed bunjee cords with the < $4 ace, about 8 days from China. I may actually have another one lying around.
You may want to order one before N Korea has an "oops" moment and vaporizes itself. I'm thinking that will hold up trade for a while.

I have this American Weigh SC-2kg and really like it. It measures as accurately as .1 grams, comes with handy little trays, takes conventional batteries AND can be calibrated. It's only 17 dollars on amazon.
