Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikewagon via eBay. Waited for a eBay sale to come around. $238 after the 15 percent coupon. Without the coupon code, I found bikediscount.de to be the cheapest.

Nice work!

The kid's large looked to be a cm or two shorter in the back than my favorite size small women's jerseys, but it shouldn't be a big deal with bibs. I've learned that the boys' L (and sometimes XL) sizes are often close to an American XS or Euro S in women's stuff.

A few years ago, I "garage doored" my roof-mounted bike. The Ouzo Pro fork took the brunt of the impact, and while it looked OK, and it had been a simply splendid fork, I wasn't prepared to gamble my teeth on a potentially compromised 13 year old fork. I replaced it with a Gunnar steel fork because all the new CF forks then available were 100% CF (i.e., CF dropouts), and for no logical reason, CF dropouts just didn't sit well with me. New Ouzo Pros appeared to have vanished. The Gunnar fork has been very good - however, a little more road buzz compared to the Ouzo, and a significant weight penalty. Still hankering for an Ouzo, I occasionally looked around on eBay. Last week I found a NOS Ouzo Pro being sold by Independent Fabrication for $130. AFAIK, they used to spec their custom frames with Ouzo Pros, but no longer, so they were selling off uninstalled surplus. Fork arrived today - mint, uncut, and light. I'll install it before the Summer riding season gets into high gear, but no real hurry - I'm just delighted that I was able to find one. The Gunnar will become a spare, or will be pressed into service if I ever find a nice steel frame with a 1 1/8"-compatible head tube.

Thanks for the heads up! I just picked up one myself, with 40mm rake. Looks like their last one.

Ebay score.. Powertap SL+ disc wheelset with Stans's rims for the CX bike. Had already been looking for an extra wheelset to change tires but the PT is an added bonus.

a couple KMC chains to have on hand. my friend said she didn't change the chain this year on the supersix so i'll probably throw a new one on that.

Yeah I was not happy. Wasnt even an all white paint job. Most the frame was already white. He just had to paint a 3 inch section on the brow of the frame and the nose piece that was orange originally. Super simple job. This is why I made a separate thread to tell others about my experience while dealing with dr. Chop shop. Awful experience. The paint job is very sub par also. I photoshopped out a couple parts that have already chipped by the lens. Thought about reaching out to him but to be honest I'm just glad to have them back in my hands. It got to the point where I didnt think I'd ever get them back.

The worst part is now 7 months later, they offer an all white frame!!!! FML!!

Yesterday I nabbed:
a pair of Bontrager Aeolus 3's with dt hubs, a Bontrager Affinity carbon saddle, and a Bontrager xxx carbon stem...
Grand total, $775!!!
The wheel set was slightly used, but I still feel like I did pretty good

Long ride coming up, & thought a top tube bag might be good.

Ordered this- kind of hideous but it's an experiment & it's $5.00.

All tt bags are hideous. I built a great titanium bike for my wife, and I cry when I see her TT bag.

The previous gen of Fizik shoes had very high arches. Does this also have that issue?

I don't own them, but I've tried them on - no, the arches in the current Fizik aren't as high as the ones that I'd tried on a few years ago (which made my foot rock like a teeter-totter).

I'm not sure. Doesn't bother me. But then my feet aren't too picky.
