Peugeot or not ?

Hi guys , Been looking for another project .
Came across a frame that seller says is a Peugeot. sort of 90s paintwork
I noticed that it has a cinelli symbol on the underneath of bottom bracket shell.

I dont recall ever seeing a pug with a shell like it ?
Not a a pug ?

Not sure, but their top of the line bikes that were built 753 tubing might have had Cinelli BBs.....
Post more pics of the frameset if you can get them and we can get a better idea on why it might be.

hmm ok . supposedly a Peugeot Aspin . Can see a similar paint scheme in catalogues but not with a lugged frame .

Hmmm... the top tube cable routing and the rear dropouts don't seem to be what Peugeot was doing in the late 80's/early 90's
It might not be a Peugeot at all....
Definitely not an Aspin as that did not even have forged dropouts and had eyelets. This is a higher level model bike, whatever it is.....
Could be a Gitane.
A French frame with Cinelli investment cast BB is a signal that it could be a top model bike....if it is French.

Is that a Peugeot Chorus paint scheme? Most I've seen are dark over light but this could be a legit version.

Hi Chombi .
Gitane is possible given the top tube internal cable entry/exit .
Very similar to a mid 80s Gitane I had once upon a time .

Thanks for the input

26.4 ID seat tube could mean it is Supervitus tubing = more likely a French frameset.
Still kinda looks like a Gitane to me as the blue paint, if original, hints at it (The white overspray could be a later add.
Gitane also mostly just used stick-on decals on their bikes without any top clear over them, so the decals on this frameset might have just been removed.
Kinda remids me of their mid 80's Supercorsa frameset, but the rear DO's do not seem to match and I don't think they used Cinelli BB shells for those.
I wonder if it is a special build.....
There is another similar looking French bike I bumped into once in a while called "Courtois":
