Saw a Blue today.
I think the guy was riding an Rc8. Regardless, it (the bike) was the sexiest thing I have ever seen. Before I realized it, my drool had culminated into a flash flood across a four lane road.
I foresee a large purchase in my near future...

nice bike. Anybody know why they use lugged carbon? Is it to reduce manufacturing costs?

Girl I know rides an older aluminum one. The top tube and downtube are shaped like four leaf clovers. It's pretty cool.

are they for sure lugged? I saw at the NAHBS a cf bike that had wrapping to make it looked lugged but was monocoque. I think it was Fast Freddy Markham who was selling them.

I really am not impressed at all by blue frames. IDK how they ride, but they are not that sexy at all. So many nicer framesets out there, based on looks.

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. I looked at a couple higher end Specialized and Cervelos today and they were beautiful. Of course, no Blue there to compare.

Some high end carbon manufactures use lugs, such as Calfee, Parlee and Crumpton. According to Calfee, lugged construction reduces the possibility that there maybe be thin spots in the bends of the carbon. Also, lugs direct the stresses away from the joints which is where failures typically occure.

I don't care for the ridiculously short head tubes. Every one I've seen with a non-pro on it had at least an inch of spacers.

Has coddling tendencies.
I hear you OP.
What sold me was the frame detail up close and touching. Each tube is uniquely shaped. The only normal/round tube is the seat post. It rides like butter. Climbs and descends like it owns the road. It's also not a flimsy CF frame at 1080 gms, and the lugs give it added strength. The roads I ride on (descents especially) can be quite rough, so I'm happy to be riding something that I don't fear will explode. As pictured with Sram Rival, the bike weighs 16.4 lbs, minus the seat bag and bottle.

I think the paint job is too busy. It looks like a piece of hard candy stuck in the bottom of a bowl at Grandma's house.
Note the curved paint scheme on the forks; was that intended to provide a pseudo curvilinear effect like a poor man's Pinarello Prince?
Sorry to rain on your parade, but overly decorated bikes are a trend that will pass very quickly as the Great Recession lingers.
