Here is a tall Fuji I picked up the other day. I don't know what model it is as all the decals were removed. Added new tires, tubes, chain, cables, bartape, and brake pads. It has some nice, colored jockey wheels in the VX RD and I added the aero levers as the final touch.

I think the Mixte is an 81 Royale like mine. I'm pretty sure 1981 was the only year for the Mixte.

Yeah... After the post I realized the discussion was about the bike in Post 1327, not the CL ad just above my post. The bike in the post is a 1981 is what I meant.

Edit: After checking the Classicfuji.com catalogs, I have it narrowed down to a 1977 S10-S or a 1979 Grand Tourer. Colors and components are a closer match to the S10-S.

I did a trade and I ended up getting this, it's cleaned up now and greased, it's also in fair condition. first time seeing a Archer of this year, Canadian made bike with england made parts? must be that time where they started useing other countrys to make stuff.

i picked this up from the local goodwill for 15 bucks.
has all stock parts on it cleaned up most of the grim on it and found only a few nicks in the paint. some rust on the rims that i plan on cleaning up, but over all im very pleased with it.

A vendor at the flea market had a bunch of bike stuff, he's been selling it off since closing his small shop a few years ago. I only had about $20 to spend so I had to pass on some cool stuff, but I grabbed a NOS pair of tiny Detto Pietro shoes, a few sets of Christophe straps, a handful of lockblocks, and a "bonus" Shimano 3 speed cable (it was buried in the box in the background.)
Whats in the box? Another 300+ lockblocks. Looks like I'll be doing some business on eBay...
The stuff I didn't buy included a stack of SR chain rings ($1 each, if I took the lot,) a pair of Scott AT-3 bars with stems and some interesting brake levers that appeared to be made for trekking bars, like full-size MTB levers with an additional 90° bend at the end.
He also had a few jars of misc hardware, including two full of steel Sugino and SR crank bolt caps, and another with 3-speed hardware for Shimano and SA hubs. His prices were a bit steep on some of this stuff, but well under what it's worth. I'll be going back with a fatter wallet.

I hope my profanity does not offend, but all I can say after seeing your Peugeot is holy ****: you people are killing me with these finds!
I could care less for most Peugeots, but the quality and condition of the paint on this bike is amazing.
Looks like very little else needs more than a quick breakdown, cleaning, regrease: the bike will gleam.
I can easily see someone paying $150-200 for a bike like this in any shop here in NYC.
Everytime I see someone on this thread pull a classic like this our of the trash, especially in this condition, I can only conclude that many more people must be mentally ill to consider something like this worthy of trash.
I have to admit ignorance on the Reynolds 501 code for Cr-Mo tubing: can anyone say how this compares to 531 steel?
I could care less for most Peugeots, but the quality and condition of the paint on this bike is amazing.
Looks like very little else needs more than a quick breakdown, cleaning, regrease: the bike will gleam.
I can easily see someone paying $150-200 for a bike like this in any shop here in NYC.

Anywho, here's what I picked up the other day, the front wheel is held on by one seized nut, but apparently it used to be a single-speed. Anyone know what model Raleigh it is? Thankfully the BB seems to be sound so I won't have to deal with that, whatever I decide to do with it... might be an easy one to make into a fixed gear?

BTW, it's now cleaned up and has yellow cork tape and some Exage aero levers I found in the bottom of my parts box. Greased and adjusted, although I have to sort out a tension problem in the rear shift lever. Very nice, smooth ride.

Yes, they were originally intended to mount a U-lock on the handlebars, but with the advent of small and powerful LED lights, they're in demand. Search the forum for "Twofish" and you'll find more info.
