Group Opinion?
This Viking frame is a smidge too small for me. I'm guessing later 1970s. 120 mm rear dropout spacing. Can our collective wisdom shed any light on it? One set of bottle mounts. Reynolds 531 decals intact on the forks. Additional finishing on the cutaway lugs. Campagnolo dropouts and a bit of rust and patina throughout. The seatpost diameter is 26.6 mm. A Google search shows a Viking production beginning in 1908 in the Britain, with some history of racing heritage. Does anyone else have one?

I have a Viking. '68 -'70, somewhere in there. It has a Campy NR derailleur with no patent date...so I think thats the time frame. It has the elongated wrap around seat stays, sloping fork crown, arched seat stay bridge. 27.2 seatpost.

Well, if it's too small, mail it to me, and I'll get back to you in about 10 years, with some answers.
I've never seen one, would assume Northern England, maybe, since the Vikings did spend time in North Umbria, according to recent movies. I know, completely useless information. My approach would be to contact some British shops via the internet, and see if anyone can help you.
I think it is pretty cool, looks like open market lugs, plus cutouts, a more basic treatment on the seat post binder than many, but I note the smaller diameter on the lower DT for the cable guides, clamp-on shifters required, and above the BB routing.
Wish I had more information for you. Nice frame, mid-level or higher, especially for the 70's if so. Clamp-on shifters. Would be a nice one to try that 120mm freehub rear that SunXCD sells.

Made in Wolverhampton....right outside of Birmingham where Reynolds 531 was made. I think by the mid seventies Viking was not the same company. Sold or absorbed by another company.

mid priced . .. welded BB shell but <c> dropouts (low cost if you order hundreds , like manufacturers do.., a highlight-able feature
26.6 mm means a 1 mm tube wall straight gage tubing.. no DB .. a reasonable bike frame to build up for getting places..
