Front derailer issues?

hello, I have a new motobecane 529HT(2017) and the other day I loosened the mounting for the front derailer enough to move it up a couple inches to get to area to put on a kickstand and then when I went to slide it back down to position-did not loosen cable at all just the mount on mainframe- the cable went limp and now cannot shift the front sprockets, seems there is a peice of plastic that the cable rides on for tension- how do i fix this? thankx

Some closeup pictures of your derailleur would be helpful. If you can't do that at least post what model derailleur you have. IS the pic post the bike you have?

Is there a model number on the derailleur? SRAM makes a bunch of different front derailleurs so an actual model would be helpful (not sure where to look on SRAM).

You need 10 posts to be able to post links and pics, and that would be the best way to get help.
