Need Wheels for old 850 Trek bike
I've got an old 1993 Trek 850 SHX mountain bike . . . . I need wheels for it. I'm not a mechanic, I wouldn't know where to find parts for this old bicycle . . . . looking for 36 spoked wheels that is compatible with THIS OLD bicycle. Any suggestions ? If it matters towards which wheels to get, I'm 350 lbs.

Get Thee To A Bike Shop..
Bike shops get machine built wheels for repairs from their Distributors for low costs..
get some 36 spoke ones , cassette rear Not freewheel
Axles bent and break to easily..
135mm wide rear of the frame, Right? drag that down to the shop.
solid Nut fixed axles are stronger than hollow QR,
& easy to change with Shimano Hubs..
less likely to be swiped too..
and you get service, after the sale, from your local...
